Memo To: All Registrars & Presidents of Mass Youth Soccer Organizations
From: Rachel Woo, Mass Youth Soccer
Subject: Fall Registration Procedures
The Board of Directors of Mass Youth Soccer recently adopted a change to the registration process for the 2010-2011 season. There is no longer an exemption for dual-rostered players or adults working in multiple (town and open/club) organizations. All leagues need to affiliate their Board of Directors, including ex officio members. Players need to be registered with each team. Adult members need to be registered with each organization. All registrants pay the $11.00 registration affiliation fee.
It is already July and time to review the steps to be taken to insure that all of your members are affiliated in a timely manner. To assist you with the Fall registration process, I am attaching the following e-mail links that have complete information to help you through this process:
Registration Report Deadlines. Your first registration report, which should include the database of all members and your Fee Submission Form, must be submitted to rwoo@mayouthsoccer.org no later than Wednesday, July 28, 2010. Your final registration report for the Fall season will be due Friday, October 1st. Please note that the required Certification Statement signifying that you have affiliated all of your players and adults is included in the Fee Submission Form. Your early compliance with the registration deadline dates is appreciated, and the first reporting deadline is critical to ensure that all players and coaches are covered by Mass Youth Soccer’s insurance coverage by the time practice begins. No player or coach should be practicing or playing prior to affiliation with Mass Youth Soccer.
Organizations will continue to submit their registration files via the link to the “secure box” on our website. Be sure to properly name the files with your club name. Once you have uploaded your files, please email me the Fee Submission Form. On subsequent submissions, towns/clubs will be directed to export their registration files directly to GotSoccer, our new, preferred online registration system. We will send out clear directions as to how to do this and I will assist you however needed to make this transition to GotSoccer smooth and easy for you.
- CORI. A CORI form must be completed for every adult volunteer. If you completed this form after June of 2005 and you have not changed your last name or moved then you need not complete another form at this time – The adults name must be shown as the legal name given to them. Please refrain from using a nick name. This means that your registration file must also have the legal name shown for all adult/coach volunteers. Please contact us if you do not receive such. DATE OF BIRTH IS MANDATORY FOR ALL AFFILIATES. If any member is missing this information, you will be notified that said individual is considered unaffiliated until the information is provided.
